Project Description
The collaborative partners of the project Where is East? are planning to create two pieces of documentary theater about the conflict in the east of the Ukraine. The artists Natalya Vorozhbyt, Marina Vroda and Georg Genoux will develop the piece from interview transcripts with people in the Ukraine. In giving a voice to those affected they hope to initiate the debate between people in the east and west that has been lacking for the past twenty years. The piece will be developed with four actors who regularly travel to eastern Ukraine as volunteers and they will also draw on their own experiences for the performances.
